The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak finally bowed out of power after three decades in power.
He was finally drove out of the office by the historic civilian protest that mounted on for 18 days.
Hosni Mubarak a military man run the country with a suspended constitution for 30 years without regard to the general feeling of the Egyptian citizen.
In that period, he amassed fortunes that places him among the wealthiest, riches men in the world. Mubarak got his wealth from virtually every major business deal in his country including military contracts, development projects and Suez Canal transit business.
His wealth is estimated to be between $40 billions - $70 billions which then ranks him among the riches people in the world. The world riches man, business magnate Carlos Slim has an estimated net wealth of $54 billion while Bill Gate the second world wealthiest man has an estimated wealth of $53 billion.
If Hosni Mubarak shared his wealth with the Egyptian citizen, he would probably be in office today. If he had left the office voluntarily a few years ago, he would have left his two sons Gamal and Alaa in good books as well as in power and wealth.
The way Mubarak was drove out of the office put his wealth and the political future of his two sons in great jeopardy. Time will tell whether his long stay in power and the wealth he amassed will benefit his family and the generations after him or not.
The ways things are now, the Egyptian citizen have their say and they are optimistic of the future of their country.
